Job Summary
Controls Technician needed to integrate and install Rockwell automation PLCs, including Allen Bradley systems, with variable frequency drives, safety circuits, control switches, and HMIs. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and PLC programs; participate in customer start-up and technical meetings; assist with planning and execute project startup against plan and budget. Travel required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with automated control systems as a Controls Technician, Field Service Technician, Automation Technician, or PLC Technician
- Experience working with Allen Bradley PLC systems (Rockwell automation)
- Knowledge of ladder logic and PLC program development (CompactLogix, ControlLogix)
- Experience installing HMIs and training operators on the use of them
- Knowledge of safety circuits and switches
- Ability to travel
