Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems by diagnosing faults in electrical circuits, control logic, VFD drives, servo systems, and industrial control panels. Support production teams with rapid response troubleshooting to reduce downtime while assisting engineers with PLC program updates, automation upgrades, and retrofits. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings to perform repairs and wiring modifications across 120V, 240V, and 480V industrial systems. Assist with industrial networking troubleshooting using EtherNet/IP and maintain documentation for all automation systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial automation systems in manufacturing
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems (120V – 480V)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control wiring diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting sensors, drives, motors, and control panels
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Associate Degree or Technical Certification in: Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or Industrial Controls
- Ability to work around industrial machinery and production equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Allen-Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix / CompactLogix)
- HMI systems (PanelView or similar)
- VFD programming and troubleshooting
- Industrial networking (EtherNet/IP)
- Experience supporting automated production lines
- Experience with servo motion control systems
- Experience with coating, laminating, converting, or roll-to-roll manufacturing equipment
