Job Summary
Design, develop, and install machine controls for manufacturing equipment while providing PLC and drive support for plant systems. Troubleshoot existing control issues, configure HMIs, and program motion control systems and PLCs. Support capital projects by completing improvement initiatives, updating AutoCAD schematics, and documenting electrical modifications. Collaborate with engineers to interpret mechanical drawings and initiate root cause analysis for quality and safety incidents. Maintain a safety-first culture by engaging in safety activities, addressing hazards immediately, and ensuring compliance with all policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering (PET, IET, EE, Met) or equivalent experience
- Debugging and testing electro-mechanical systems and controls
- Configuring HMIs for discrete manufacturing equipment
- Programming and commissioning motion control systems including multi-axis robots and servos
- Programming PLC based controls for manufacturing
- Industrial automation with electro-mechanical and controls work
- Utilizing engineering principles and knowledge to effectively troubleshoot control issues
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Good people skills and ability to systematically troubleshoot
- Highly organized and able to work independently
