Job Summary
The Controls Technician is responsible for identifying and repairing equipment malfunctions, calibrating, and performing preventive maintenance on systems. Key responsibilities include PLC programming changes, programming of VFD's and HMI interfacing, executing instrument calibration, troubleshooting and repairing plant operating systems, and maintaining equipment logs. Candidates must have completed trade school training, have at least two years of relevant experience, and possess a thorough knowledge of electrical principles and the ability to read schematics. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D. and proof of completed trade school training program required
- Able to read and understand blueprint drawings and schematics
- Must have ability and desire to work with others
- Meets attendance requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience in repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems
- Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles
- Broad understanding of IT Infrastructure, networking, and IP structures
