Controls Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation) at a Fortune 500 food manufacturer in Longmont, CO. Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and performing changeovers on production equipment in GMP/sanitation compliance; conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical/instrumentation/automation systems; using PLCs (Allen-Bradley Studio5000/Logix5000), drives and motion control, FactoryTalk ME/SE, Ethernet/IP, and related instrumentation; interpreting prints and schematics; coaching/mentoring team members; driving continuous improvement to reduce downtime; documenting SOPs and work records; leading safety, quality, and production improvement projects; maintaining low-voltage qualification and staying current with technical training. Flexible to work 13-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
