Job Summary
Design, troubleshoot, and support industrial control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and plant networks while installing, configuring, and commissioning automation equipment. Monitor and optimize OT and industrial network systems to diagnose electrical issues, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with internal and industry standards. Configure VFDs, smart sensors, and instrumentation while collecting data for continuous improvement and supporting system documentation and change management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation initiatives and maintain backups in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical troubleshooting and process control systems
- Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, and industrial network systems
- Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation platforms, including Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, ControlNet)
- Ability to troubleshoot automation systems in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple departments
- 3+ years of experience supporting industrial automation or controls systems in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field preferred
- Experience with FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Historian, and FactoryTalk View Client
- Familiarity with OT network design and monitoring in an industrial environment
- Experience supporting continuous process manufacturing (food, beverage, chemical, or similar)
- Knowledge of basic project management tools (e.g., MS Project or Visio)
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices in industrial control systems
