Job Summary
Hands-on Controls Technician for a 2nd shift in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, HMIs, electrical controls, and automation systems; supporting plant production through electrical and controls maintenance; assisting with process improvements and system upgrades; maintaining and calibrating process instrumentation; troubleshooting sensors, switches, gauges, and pneumatic/electronic systems; documenting equipment changes, repairs, and system updates; and supporting mechanics during equipment repairs. Requires experience with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical troubleshooting, the ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits, basic computer skills, and technical schooling or coursework in electronics, automation, or controls is a plus. Direct Hire in Faribault, MN, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Monday–Friday, $25–$35/hour DOE.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance, controls, or automation experience
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Technical schooling or coursework in electronics, automation, or controls is a plus
