Job Summary

Controls Technician (1st Shift) responsible for developing and maintaining automated and electrical systems, including PLC-based hardware/software. Duties include troubleshooting and correcting problems, installing and maintaining control systems, running diagnostics on automated processes, and supporting improvements to plant performance and equipment uptime. Requires experience with Allen-Bradley/Siemens PLCs, robotics (ABB/Fanuc), electrical schematics, and TPM/PM activities; emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in an automotive manufacturing environment. The role involves collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality to resolve issues, creating and maintaining program documentation, and supporting Factory 4.0 initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens) for troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of robotics (ABB and Fanuc)
  • Ability to interpret and design electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors and variable speed controllers
  • Knowledge of pneumatic components and pick and place devices
  • Must be able to obtain Hilo, Crane, and/or Aerial lift
