Job Summary

Lead panel-upgrade projects modernizing industrial control systems across North America by re-terminating and adding I/O, integrating safety switches, and commissioning variable-frequency drives within planned maintenance windows. Pull, label, and verify wiring while installing safety relays and e-stops, then coordinate with plant staff to isolate equipment and restore operations inside designated shutdown windows. Inspect panel layouts for clearance or heat-dissipation issues, maintain hazard-free workspaces complying with NFPA 70E and LOTO procedures, and capture as-built documentation on a company tablet. Travel to manufacturing plants and distribution centers per a rolling project calendar, managing inventory and toolkits while working weekends and up to 50% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Proficient with electrical tools and equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to stand and walk for long durations, which could exceed 8 hours in a day
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects
  • Ability to see details of objects from a distance
  • Ability to enter confined spaces
  • Ability to climb stairs and walk on uneven terrain
  • Ability to squat, crawl, and bend
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessary
  • Frequent exposure to weather including hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate simple computer software programs
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • May be required to travel up to 50% of the time
  • May be required to work weekends
