Job Summary
Controls Tech II position supporting Cencora's distribution services in the US (Amityville, NY). Responsibilities include implementing preventive maintenance plans for facility equipment and systems, diagnosing and repairing Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System-related errors, overseeing maintenance and upgrades of MHE/APS controls, assessing efficiency and implementing modifications, performing routine preventive maintenance to support warehouse operations, maintaining CMMS/EAM records, managing spare parts inventory, and working extended hours as needed to achieve productivity goals. Requires strong mechanical/electrical/electronic knowledge, ability to read CAD layouts, IPB diagrams, and electrical schematics, experience with PLCs/HMI and related controls, and the ability to program basic PLC changes; willingness to work in a hands-on, technically-focused role.
Required Qualifications
- Some technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education
- At least two years related and progressively responsible experience
- Strong electrical background preferred
