Job Summary
Develop and maintain documentation for controls applications supporting manufacturing operations, including operation and maintenance records. Oversee installation of control systems on new and existing equipment, making programming changes to improve the manufacturing process. Interface with vendors, integrators, and plant controls personnel to analyze processes for automation improvements. Set up Cognex, Keyence, and Banner Vision systems for in-line inspections, training images for pattern recognition, and storing results on the computer network. Troubleshoot image issues regarding lighting, design changes, and missed scans while maintaining accuracy during production hours. Work with Controls Engineers to set up trigger points for bar code scanners, RFID readers, and sensors, and ensure all process changes are approved by the ME. Comply with company policies, safety standards, and OSHA regulations while maintaining a clean work area. Maintain regular, reliable attendance and work overtime as required by production schedules.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates degree in Automation, Electrical, or related technical field
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in an industrial setting
- Self-starter
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with industrial equipment

- Ability to read, understand and modify technical drawings

- Prior experience programming/configuring Allen-Bradley PLCs (Logix500 & 5000)
