Job Summary
Direct the Controls Technician(s) in executing SCADA, database, and PLC integration for automated manufacturing equipment while diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and programmatic issues. Oversee workload balance, facilitate candidate interviews, and mentor team members to ensure timely project delivery and operational continuity. Liaise with vendors and internal departments to align control panels, wiring schematics, and general specifications with company standards. Provide input on preventative maintenance rule sets and system interfaces to improve machine efficiency and production demands.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of manufacturing software (ICIM)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with PLC
- Operator Interface programming languages
- Familiarity with standard networking technologies and hardware
- Knowledge of SCADA and control systems and components used for automation equipment
- Knowledge of data communication protocols, industrial protocols, and computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux
- Four year degree
- one to two years of related experience/training
- an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
