Job Summary
Controls Systems Technician 2 performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, troubleshoots basic HVAC controls and electrical/mechanical issues, responds to warranty calls, loads controller software, performs commissioning and diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices, calibrates systems with basic electronic test equipment, completes commissioning documentation and as-built updates, and communicates status with customers and contractors while ensuring safety and efficiency of facilities.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field
- at least 2 years of industry experience or experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
- knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- effective interpersonal skills, ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
- leadership skills to support activities of Mechanics working on non-complex Building Automation equipment
