Job Summary
Controls Systems Engineer II will participate in corporate engineering project teams to design, purchase, and install equipment; assist plants with troubleshooting; design processes for potential projects; design and draft project elements; contact manufacturers/vendors for materials; receive quotes and delivery schedules; file engineering drawings; ensure safety procedures are followed; write ladder logic for new and existing equipment; perform or support HMI design (Web Gateway, FactoryTalk, Ignition) and basic computer/network design; design control cabinets; provide technical support for facilities worldwide; travel ~30% and perform maintenance as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5-7 years engineering experience
- Ladder Logic (Allen Bradley PLC5, SLC, ControlLogix)
- Solidworks Electrical
- HMI design (FactoryTalk and Ignition)
- Ethernet/IP and basic networking
- Python and Java
- plant power distribution and controls
- project engineering/project management
- ability to evaluate project requirements and apply solutions
- travel ~30%
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- excellent communication and teamwork
