Controls Support Engineer

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Material Flow Systems (MFS), and automation equipment including sensors, scanners, motors, frequency inverters, and visualization systems. Diagnose system faults and production issues through root cause analysis, system testing, and corrective actions to restore equipment operation and minimize downtime. Monitor system performance, analyze operational reports, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and overall system performance. Collaborate with onsite personnel, software developers, customers, and global support teams to resolve technical issues and ensure continuous system operation. Maintain accurate documentation, help-desk tickets, and technical records while developing training materials and providing technical guidance to internal teams and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience
- Experience supporting PLCs, Siemens S7 PLCs, or .NET-based automation systems
- Knowledge of industrial automation equipment, including conveyors, automated cranes, packaging systems, and drive technologies
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet, AS-i, and PROFIBUS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or EPLAN
