Job Summary
Program and troubleshoot automated robotic and vision systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs, modifying existing IEC 61131-3 ladder diagrams for multi-station parallel processing and pick-and-place automation. Oversee manufacturing line ramp-up for mechanical automation, robotics, electromechanical systems, motion control, and variable frequency drives while ensuring lock-out/tag-out procedures in 480 VAC and 24 VDC areas. Design in-house control architectures integrating sensors, actuators, and other automation components to reduce cycle times and optimize investments. Create process standards for testing system duplication across sites and perform benchmarking to integrate market trends. Work Monday through Friday on a night shift with varying hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or other relevant Engineering discipline
- 4+ years of PLC programming experience
- Experience programming PLCs in a high-speed industrial environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Variable Frequency Drivers (VFDs) and Vision Systems (Keyence or Cognex)
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Experience with Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka robotic systems
