Job Summary
Controls Specialist role in Georgetown, KY focusing on automating client operations: design, deliver, and oversee control-system projects from concept to commissioning. Responsible for diagnosing issues, implementing practical solutions, and collaborating with senior team members to ensure scope, quality, and outcomes. Key hands-on work includes design, procurement, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems; travel within the US and Canada as needed. Technical emphasis includes PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens), HMIs (Plant PAX, Aveva InTouch/OMI), instrumentation, VFDs/servos, and network design/implementation. Strong emphasis on client experience, teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering from a recognized engineering faculty or equivalent qualification
- 3-5 years’ experience in the automation industry as an Engineer or Technologist, technically delivering on projects
- Proven track record in the design, procurement, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems
- Strong client-focused approach and ability to provide exceptional client experiences
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Willingness to travel or adjust work hours as required for the role (travel within the US and Canada)
