Job Summary
Controls Service Technician III responsible for job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting of HVAC/building automation control systems (DDC/BACnet). Performs service related duties including maintenance of service agreements and handling emergency service calls. Responsibilities include system inspections, loading software/firmware, configuring hardware, wiring checks, commissioning on new construction and retrofit sites, documenting progress, conducting customer training, providing technical support, and collaborating with team members. Requires strong knowledge of building automation, HVAC, electrical concepts, and the ability to read design/construction documents; on-site work with potential travel; on-call rotation; and a focus on delivering customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in installing or servicing electronic control systems; 6+ years preferred.
- Valid driver license

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in installing or servicing electronic control systems
- 6+ years preferred
- Microsoft, Cisco, EIT, ASHRE, NICET, or CISSP certifications are a plus
- Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven electro-mechanical aptitude
- Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical concepts, and operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Valid driver license
- Technical school certificates are preferred
