Job Summary
Controls Service Technician II responsible for startup, checkout, and troubleshooting of HVAC building automation control systems, including loading programs (licenses, firmware, panel programming, graphics), wiring checks, BACnet/IP migrations, I/O testing, and on-site commissioning for new construction and retrofit projects. Performs service- and emergency-related tasks, documents progress, coordinates with project teams, and maintains customer relationships by delivering solutions, ensuring safety, and staying current with product documentation and field practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in a mechanical capacity
- Minimum two years of experience in systems including on-the-job experience as a systems/mechanical specialist
- Experience installing or servicing electronic control systems
- Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical concepts, and operations
