Job Summary
Controls Service Engineer II responsible for diagnosing and repairing PLC-based press control systems, installing and commissioning control systems for hydraulic and servo-electric presses, retrofitting PLCs/HMI/motion controllers, field service and customer support, programming PLC logic and HMI, developing PLC programs on Allen-Bradley, designing HMIs using InduSoft WebStudio and AB PanelView, creating motion control programs with Delta RMC Tools and Yaskawa MotionWorks, integrating third-party controls, developing HMI extensions with HTML5/SQL/VBScript, designing simple Industrial IT networks, control cabinet design, creating prints via AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring UL508a compliance and ISO 13849 safety, monitoring budgets, producing Controls Approvals documents, and adapting to customer hardware requirements. Travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2-5 years industry experience without a bachelor’s degree
