Job Summary
Oversee project planning, design, and equipment ordering to ensure timely, cost-effective implementation while meeting customer deadlines. Gather and maintain control submittals and project documents, manage billings against construction progress, and coordinate field activities including installation, checkout, and commissioning. Work with engineering staff to develop submittals and graphics, prepare project schedules using approved software, and monitor costs to identify variances or schedule changes affecting workforce resources. Recognize scope changes, resolve field issues, and ensure HVAC equipment meets industry codes. Maintain open communication with customers and sales engineers on status and risks, and travel to inspect job sites. Schedule personnel, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project requirements within estimated costs.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year construction management/ engineering or mechanical degree or a 2-year technical degree and 2 years of project management experience
- 5 years of Commercial HVAC project management
- 6 years of HVAC equipment experience
- Knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, management, and construction procedures
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Availability for after-hour consultation and problem-solving on assigned jobs as necessary
- Proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, MS Projects)
- Ability to travel to and inspect job sites and visit customer locations
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor
Desired Qualifications
