Job Summary
Execute engineering initiatives by managing product development timelines, collaborating with product management and engineering teams, and ensuring alignment with design intent and business objectives. Lead project controls by tracking ongoing projects for budget and schedule adherence, resolving minor inconsistencies, and defining mechanisms to recover from shortfalls. Provide technical leadership by supporting documentation, training teams for product releases, and reviewing control sequence implementation on embedded computer platforms. Monitor phase gates for developing risks using tools like Monday.com and DevOps to ensure delivery of required functionality. Work effectively in office and manufacturing floor settings while interpreting equipment drawings and wiring diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience in controls or HVAC systems
- 3-5 years in HVAC controls, product development, or technical project management
- Experience or specific training in Project Management with a focus on product development cycles
- Ability to work effectively in an office setting as well as on a manufacturing floor
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
- Visual acuity sufficient to read technical drawings and documentation
- Ability to travel as required
Desired Qualifications
- A basic understanding of the principles of HVAC system operation, including airflow, refrigeration, speeds, pressures, temperatures, and related equipment functions
- Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards such as UL, ETL, Modbus, ISO, and similar frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and recommend effective solutions
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and apply judgment to resolve plan issues
