Job Summary
Manage controls development and delivery for airport baggage security systems by leading a team through project conception to client handover. Design electrical device layouts, control panel drawings, wiring schematics, and PLC programming while coordinating with mechanical engineers and project management. Oversee system functionality, attend design reviews, and creatively solve problems to optimize resources, scheduling, and budget. Supervise team performance, manage requirements and configuration changes, and support proposals and customer inquiries. Requires 5 years of industrial automation experience, Allen Bradley PLC skills, and 20% travel for on-site engineering tasks.
Required Qualifications
- BSEE, E.T. or relevant technical degree, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Five (5) years of experience in industrial automation controls design and commissioning
- Experience managing a project and related people resources
- Scheduling and estimating experience
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming (ControlLogix)
- Scheduling and estimating experience required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- 20% Travel
- On occasion off-shift work may be necessary to support commissioning efforts
