Job Summary
Controls/Mechanical/Systems Engineer role in Tualatin, OR. Under the Director of Engineering, you will work independently or as part of a team to design and engineer fluid handling and process piping components and systems for internal manufacturing and customer applications. The ideal candidate has broad experience across mechanical, electrical, controls, and process engineering for fluid systems used in industrial, semiconductor, and biomedical contexts. Responsibilities include engineering products requested by sales/management, specifying components/materials for projects, creating documentation packages, providing technical support to manufacturing and customers, and ensuring compliance with EMI-related procedures and change controls.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering (ABET accredited preferred)
- Capable of meeting EIT requirements (Level I)
- 3D design experience with SolidWorks, Creo, or other major CAD platform
- 2D design experience with AutoCAD, Visio or similar for schematic development
- Demonstrated design competence of components and electrical/mechanical assemblies
- Working knowledge of fluid handling/process piping components and systems
- Working knowledge of materials compatibility and machine/process automation
- Knowledge of electrical panel design/assembly and UL508 and CE/EU standards
- Ability to produce engineering and design work for EMI products with oversight
- Ability to interpret and comply with EMI quality documents, procedures, and work instructions
- Basic MS Office proficiency
- Level II: Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM; valid EIT or 3-5 years engineering experience; capability to lead design work with minimal oversight; instruct others in EMI quality documents and procedures
- Level III: Pursuit or possession of PE license; leadership of projects; independent technical representation to customers; strong product-quality decisions
