Job Summary
Gather tools and supplies, measure, cut, and bend conduit (EMT and rigid), pull cable and wire from device locations to control panels, and perform in-wall rough-in of thermostats. Drill holes for pathways, trace shorts in low voltage power and signal cabling, and assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening control panels, cable racks, and devices. Maintain assigned tools and equipment while keeping work areas clean of debris. Perform other routine duties and display professional behavior as assigned by Journeyman or Project Manager. Requires reliable transportation, ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, and valid state driver's license to drive a company vehicle within 150 miles of Memphis, TN. Travel up to 40% of the time. Normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional 4/10s, overtime, or weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must have reliable transportation
- Valid state motor vehicle operator license with clear driving record to meet company policy to drive a company vehicle
- Must be willing to drive within 150 miles of Memphis, TN
- Travel up to 40% of the time
- Ability to lift 50lbs, unassisted, multiple times per day
- Ability to assign priorities to tasks
- Display professional behavior and attitude
