Controls/HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and service building automation and HVAC control systems by applying mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues between equipment and control logic. Assist with programming, calibration, and commissioning of BAS systems while reading HVAC drawings, schematics, and control sequences. Perform point-to-point testing, startup, and system verification, working with customers and project teams to resolve operational issues. This role supports Schneider Electric legacy systems and BACnet, LonWorks, and MODBUS protocols. Candidates must have 5+ years of HVAC experience and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting electrical components and wiring diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC service or installation experience
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including air handlers, rooftop units, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and related equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical components, sensors, thermostats, and HVAC equipment
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC controls, BAS, or automation systems
- Electrical background or experience troubleshooting low-voltage systems
- Familiarity with HVAC sequences of operation
- Experience with brands such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, Carrier, or similar systems
