Job Summary
Review customer requirements, PMD proposals, and regulatory standards to design controls hardware for turnkey custom automation equipment. Translate mechanical device lists into electrical schematics for AC/DC power, safety, servo, and industrial networks while drafting AutoCAD Electrical layouts. Collaborate with mechanical engineers on design reviews and assist controls build technicians with electrical and fluid power debugging throughout the project lifecycle. Work independently on medium-complexity projects or under senior direction, maintaining organized work areas and adhering to safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- BS in EE, EET, Mechatronics, related engineering field; or demonstrated equivalent experience
- 5-10 years experience
- AutoCad Electrical
- NFP79, UL508a, CE, CSA standards
- Power calculations (AC 3phase, AC 1phase, DC 5-90V, Transformers)
- Enclosure Heat calculations
- SCCR calculations
- Fluid Power flow calculations
- SISTEMA safety calculations
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to calculate scaling factors, proportions, percentages, rates, and ratios
- Organized
