Job Summary
Controls Hardware Design Engineer responsible for developing complete electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic designs, creating detailed schematics, BOMs, and material requisitions; performing calculations (full-load amperage, short-circuit current ratings, panel temperature); implementing automation tools and design improvements; standardizing electrical schematics; collaborating with design, manufacturing, and vendors; using AutoCAD Electrical and related tools to create, interpret, and troubleshoot schematics; ensuring safe, reliable automation systems with minimal travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in controls hardware design, automation engineering, or related fields
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
