Job Summary
Controls Field Service Technician in Dallas, TX, responsible for programming, integration, commissioning, and support of BAS/BMS/EPMS in data center or industrial environments. Lead installation teams, coordinate subcontractors, install and wire BAS controllers and field devices, plan site activities, and perform startup, commissioning, testing, and QA/QC of BAS/HVAC controls. Collaborate with Electrical/Mechanical Engineering teams, software leads, project managers, contractors, and clients; develop and implement procedures, assist with RFIs and proposals, and provide on-site troubleshooting and defect resolution in live, mission-critical facilities. Must have experience with building automation platforms (BMS/BAS/EPMS), ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams, and willingness to travel regionally. Strong emphasis on safety, documentation (Field Service Reports, closeout, as-builts), and client-facing communication. Prior military electrical/mechanical experience a plus. This role requires being located in the Pacific Northwest for travel, with 75% travel to job sites in the region.
Required Qualifications
- 3-8+ years experience with BMS/BAS Controls
- Critical Facilities / Data Center experience
- Experience with Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara BAS Platforms
- Experience with JCI, Metasys, Siemens, Honeywell, Automated Logic a plus
- PLC/ALC experience
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and diagrams
- Willing to work nights & weekends when necessary
- MS Office proficiency
- Strong verbal/written communication and customer relation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
