Job Summary
Controls Engineering Leader responsible for complete design of electrical and instrumentation engineering assignments; serves as primary administrator and troubleshooter for plant power and control systems; leads and coaches engineering technicians and interns; develops onboarding and development programs for Process Engineers and Area Leaders; defines and ensures application of power and control standards; ensures compliance with NFPA/OSHA; validates MES data from PLC into Proficy; supports data conditioning for analysis; leads capital-project initiatives, including hardware/software selection, start-up, and training; owns power monitoring and energy-reduction plans; provides expertise in control strategies, HMI, MES applications, KPI development, and project management; travels as needed and may relocate for future opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required
- Professional Engineering registration highly preferred
- 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering
- Ability to engage, lead, and build capability on the floor
- Strong knowledge of machine and/or process control hardware, instrumentation and software including Allen Bradley PLC and Rockwell FactoryTalk
- Experience with NFPA and OSHA guidelines related to electrical equipment and practices
- Experience leading installation of equipment in food manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated results in manufacturing maintenance utilizing maintenance systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
