Controls Engineer Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Prepare component cost estimates and review product design for manufacturability to ensure efficient, cost-effective production. Collaborate with tooling designers and machine suppliers to define specifications, monitor acceptance, and implement equipment on the floor. Coordinate component acquisition, create work instructions for safe operations, and develop flow charts and inspection methods to maintain quality control. Manage spare parts inventory levels, support APQP and PPAP processes, and monitor manufacturing costs during series production. Assume complete process ownership of assigned projects and provide floor support while creating training documentation for the production team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and CAD software
- Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner
- Excellent communications capabilities with both verbal and written means
- Good time management and prioritizing skills
- Knowledge of machining process, CNC programming, cutting tools selection, assembly and robotic process
- 2 year minimum experience of Core Tools application (PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC)
- GD&T knowledge
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship by ZF now or in the future
