Job Summary
Controls Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems for industrial machinery and equipment. Duties include creating electrical drawings and panel layouts, AutoCAD Electrical maintenance, designing and programming safety systems (Safety PLC/Controllers), PLC programming (AB, Omron, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.), industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, DeviceNet, Profibus, RS-232), programming and implementing HMI solutions, configuring servo motion systems, machine vision design, assisting with machine start-ups, providing technical scope for controls personnel, and ongoing documentation updates. Role involves interfacing with production, quality, safety, and engineering for improvements, supporting electrical installation, defining controls architecture, selecting hardware to meet I/O and computational requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement projects. OSHA/NFPA/CSA compliance awareness and experience with safety and environmental regulations are noted. Title implies a night shift (10pm–6:30am).
