Controls Engineer

Job Summary
Design and implement automated control systems and HMIs for operator control and monitoring; establish real-time data access across mine operations; integrate standalone components into centralized control systems; collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure reliability and safety; troubleshoot PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and network infrastructure; support commissioning of new equipment and capital projects; maintain documentation ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial controls and automation
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, PowerFlex drives, and HMI platforms (e.g., PanelView, Wonderware, Ignition)
- Experience with SCADA systems, networking, and Windows/VMware infrastructure
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on project and support needs
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
