Job Summary
Controls Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving the plant's control systems, including PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and HMIs. Diagnose and resolve PLC, drive, instrumentation, and HMI issues; implement new features and improvements to existing control systems; contribute to new automation projects—design, programming, and commissioning; mentor maintenance technicians and operators on control system operations; maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of control systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of control system components, such as PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and HMIs
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
