Job Summary
Controls Engineer responsible for designing electrical schematics, PLC programs, and electrical enclosures for machinery, testing and documenting work, creating machine manuals, and supporting installation and commissioning at customer sites. Will collaborate across teams, estimate timelines, participate in LEAN meetings, and travel to sites for installation and acceptance testing. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4-5 years of electrical design experience, proficiency with PLC/HMI programming, SolidWorks, Epicor, and a strong LEAN/process-improvement mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 4-5 years of electrical design experience (machine tools a plus)
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and electrical codes
- Experience with PLC programming (Omron, AB, Siemens a plus) and HMI programming (Indusoft a plus)
- Proficiency in Solidworks, Microsoft Office, and client Epicor system
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to LEAN principles and continuous improvement
