Controls Engineer

Job Summary
Lead PLC/HMI programming, system design, and control system architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues across electrical and software systems. Oversee commissioning, start-ups, and on-site system integrations. Collaborate cross-functionally and support/mentor junior team members. Interface with customers for technical support, training, and project success. Strong PLC programming with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens; experience with VFDs, motion control, servo systems; capable of reading electrical schematics; knowledge of NFPA/UL/CE/CSA electrical safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience
- Strong PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens) and HMI/SCADA experience
- Experience with VFDs, motion control, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols
- Ability to read electrical schematics and support commissioning/start-ups
- Knowledge of electrical and safety standards (NFPA, UL, CE, CSA) and strong problem-solving skills
