Job Summary
As a Controls Engineer, you will approve process specifications and design standards, develop software changes to enhance production capabilities, and design robotic systems including software programming. Key responsibilities include assisting in the repair and maintenance of robots, training operators, providing electrical expertise, and participating in continuous improvement efforts. A strong understanding of manufacturing needs and the ability to conduct buyoffs on new automation equipment are essential. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in optimizing processes and ensuring safe machine controls is crucial.
Required Qualifications
- General understanding of manufacturing production requirements
- Ability to design and develop robots
- Experience in repair and maintenance of robotic equipment
- Knowledge of ladder-logic circuits
- Ability to train operators on robotic systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCad/CadKey Software
- Five-plus years in robotic controls and automation
- Knowledge of APQP process
- Familiarity with electrical power distribution systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical circuits
