Controls Engineer – MES & Manufacturing Automation

Job Summary
MES Controls Engineer responsible for MES-to-PLC integrations, configuring MES-PLC communications, integrating MES routines into PLC programs, and ensuring real-time production reporting and data integrity. Collaborates with Process Engineers and MES teams to optimize MES-driven manufacturing processes, troubleshoots PLC/HMI/network issues affecting MES functionality, maintains MES-related PLC modifications, and supports MES enhancements, system upgrades, and new production rollouts. Requires experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens PLC/HMI platforms, strong PLC programming and diagnostic skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens PLC and HMI platforms
- Strong PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
- Experience supporting manufacturing automation and industrial control systems
- Knowledge of industrial networking and plant-floor communication protocols
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex production and system integration issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering, operations, and production teams
