Job Summary

Senior Controls Engineer IV leads development and deployment of highly complex control systems for large-scale material handling automation. Owns technical delivery across the project lifecycle, drives standardization and innovation, and mentors other engineers. Serves as the lead controls resource on major customer programs, designs and programs PLC/HMI solutions, optimizes logic for sortation and sequencing, and leads FAT/SAT and site commissioning. Collaborates across Electrical, Mechanical, and Software disciplines and contributes to automation strategies including virtual commissioning, digital twins, and analytics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial controls engineering, including lead project responsibilities
  • Advanced proficiency in RSLogix5000/Studio 5000, TI A Portal, and HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View)
  • Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet), VFDs, servo drives, and safety systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and guide junior engineers
  • Willingness to travel (up to 35%)
