Job Summary
Controls Engineer III responsible for design, programming, and deployment of complex control systems for material handling automation; leads mid-sized projects, develops PLC/HMI architectures, mentors junior engineers, ensures documentation and version control, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve commissioning efficiency and HMI/user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in industrial controls engineering, including lead project responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency in RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000, TIA Portal, and HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View)
- Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet), VFDs, servo drives, and safety systems
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to support installations and startups
- Excellent communication, technical documentation, and team collaboration skills
