Job Summary
Develop PLC programs for large manufacturing process control systems using object-oriented programming and Siemens TIA Portal. Create function block library elements, generate control system documentation, and maintain companywide standards. Act as a technical representative for corporate by advising, mentoring, and training personnel while troubleshooting operational technology systems. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support strategic initiatives and travel up to 15% to manufacturing facilities and corporate offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
- 7+ years of experience with: PLC program development; and control theory
- 3+ years of experience with: Siemens TIA Portal; process control; and motion control systems
- Travel to TAMKO manufacturing facilities and corporate offices up to 15%
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with: control algorithms; and electrical systems
- 2+ years of experience with: Siemens Simatic Manager; instrumentation theory; PID control loops; and mechanical systems
- 1+ years of experience with: object-oriented programming
