Controls Engineer II

Job Summary
Create scalable electrical and automation systems tailored to production environments. Develop and deploy PLC and HMI code, configure drives and robotic systems. Implement reliable communication through industrial networks and lead root cause analysis for control failures. Integrate equipment data with visualization tools to support initiatives. Maintain system documentation, support compliance, and mentor junior engineers. Manage small to mid-sized automation projects and provide technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or Controls Engineering.
- 3–6 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
- Proficient with PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and drive systems.
- Advanced knowledge of automation systems, VFDs, safety circuits, and SCADA/Ignition.
Desired Qualifications
- Background in foam, automotive, furniture, or related manufacturing preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 standards is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate across teams.
