Controls Engineer II

Job Summary
As a Controls Engineer II, you will develop and implement automation solutions in collaboration with clients to enhance their operational performance. Responsibilities include designing automation control systems, configuring hardware and software, programming PLCs and HMIs, and managing various phases of automation projects. You will also diagnose automation problems, communicate progress to stakeholders, manage project deliverables, and validate system installations. Candidates should possess experience in system integration within manufacturing environments and demonstrate strong technical communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of direct experience as a controls engineer
- Experience in creating and designing automation controls systems (PLC, SCADA)
- Solid understanding of industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A)
- Solid understanding of instrumentation and controls (I&C)
- Familiarity with machine safety applications and electrical power distribution
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens and Delta V programming
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal technical communication
- Ability to travel for project requirements
