Job Summary
Develop and modify PLC-based control systems for in-house automation equipment; responsible for development of PLC control and HMI layouts and programming, and leading project work while guiding less-senior team members. Collaborates with other engineering disciplines daily, integrates robotic systems (SCARA, Cartesian, 6 axis), and utilizes languages such as Structured Text, Ladder Logic, C#, C, Python, C++, Java, and SQL. Maintains interfaces with various APIs and databases, works with industrial fieldbus systems (EtherCAT), and supports production equipment with troubleshooting and optimization opportunities. Proactively seeks improvements, leverages Git version control, and provides hands-on assistance to Maintenance Technicians. Exercises awareness of reliability databases for process control and adheres to PPE and safety requirements in a biohazard laboratory environment.
