Job Summary
Design, develop, and test control systems for manufacturing processes while programming PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots for automated production lines. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues in control systems, then collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and implement control solutions. Optimize existing control systems for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety, and develop technical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and operating procedures. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience with PLC-based systems, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial robotics. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience designing, programming, and commissioning PLC-based control systems (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens)
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA development and configuration (e.g., FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition)
- Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP)
- Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) and motion control systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems and optimize manufacturing processes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Ignition SCADA development
- Proficiency in Python scripting for data analysis or automation
- Familiarity with SQL databases and data management
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for industrial IoT applications
- Project management experience, particularly in leading automation initiatives
