Job Summary
Create and commission industrial controls systems, including PLC software design and HMI screens across various industries. Develop, install, and debug PLC/HMI code on job sites while coordinating machine validation with build and electrical teams. Program peripheral and machine PLCs to meet customer and DyAG build specifications using standard techniques. Travel to customer sites for system installation and startup. Requires 2+ years of Siemens PLC/HMI experience with TIA Portal, proficiency in ladder logic, and familiarity with field bus networks like DeviceNet and Profibus. AS or BS in Engineering preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming experience
- 2+ years of Siemens PLC and HMI programming experience
- Must be strong with TIA Portal
- The ability to program/write code/ladder logic from scratch
- Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration and commissioning
- Prior experience programming within customer-defined standards and templates
- Proficient with a variety of field bus networks including but not limited to DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc.
- AS or BS in Engineering
- Ideally, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineer or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Other PLC platforms are helpful as well such as Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, Client, etc.
- Experience with hardware design using AutoCAD, Promise-E or ePlan is a plus
- Proficient with a variety of field bus networks including but not limited to DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc. a plus
