Controls Engineer

Job Summary
Design, build, and install turnkey electrical control systems. Develop PLC and HMI programs tailored to project needs. Commission and troubleshoot VFDs, motor controls, and servo motor applications. Diagnose and resolve issues with Ethernet/IP and Profinet networks. Lead projects from inception to completion including budget management and scheduling, and communicate with customers. Oversee installation and startup to ensure operational excellence. (Preferred) Program and integrate FANUC robotics. Interpret, modify, and develop electrical and mechanical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
- Proven expertise in PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Rockwell, GE/Emerson)
- Hands-on experience with motor controls (motor starters, VFDs, DC drives)
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, 24VDC)
- Familiarity with troubleshooting HMI components, control networks, and automated equipment
- Proficiency in interpreting and developing technical drawings/schematics
- Preferred: industrial robotics programming (FANUC)
- Preferred: experience with vision systems and custom manufacturing equipment
- Travel approx. 25%
