Job Summary
Designs, develops, and implements control systems (logic software and hardware) to meet process system requirements. Develops schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and designs equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD. Create Sequence of Operation documents detailing control strategies and lead design reviews with customers for approval. Work at the customer site to perform system checkout and start-up of the integrated control system. Develop final record system documentation and provide system training to the customer. Operate on automation and control system integration projects across multiple industries, including manufacturing production lines and data center building automation. Serve as technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers and technicians; act as Project Manager on smaller projects ranging from $50K to $250K, including developing implementation plans, assigning work, managing scope, schedules, and costs, and handling purchasing and subcontractor requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- 3+ years experience in control systems, instrumentation, and PLC programming
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Travel up to 50%
