Job Summary

Design control system hardware and software as standard, configurable products, establishing architectures, application templates, and reusable code libraries that are repeatable across product variants and manufacturing plants. Define and maintain standard BOMs, controlled drawings, and documented product functionality to ensure every unit shipped is built and behaves consistently. Lead migration of legacy applications to the unified Soft PLC platform, converting one-off systems into standardized, version-controlled product applications with consistent HMI interface patterns. Implement advanced control features within the standard architecture and execute standard test procedures and validation protocols to verify performance and reliability on every unit produced. Coordinate engineering changes through formal ECR/ECN/ECO processes, keeping baselines aligned across releases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, Automation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in control systems engineering or industrial automation
  • Hands-on experience developing standard, repeatable products
  • Proven experience with PLC/Soft PLC platforms
  • Experience with control logic programming
  • Experience with system integration within a formal product development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Bacnet)
  • Experience with system testing methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with engineering change management
  • Experience with BOM and drawing release
  • Experience with configuration control in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams on large-scale engineering initiatives
  • PLC programming background utilizing Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text
  • Emphasis on modular, reusable, and version-controlled code libraries
  • HVAC industry experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of different control algorithm and model (PID control)
