Job Summary
Design, develop, and deploy complex Ignition SCADA systems for hardware manufacturing by integrating solutions with PLCs, HMIs, and databases. Configure software to meet project requirements, including custom script development, while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to define specifications and optimize machine automation. Partner with Operations and Engineering to troubleshoot issues, analyze processes for efficiency improvements, and ensure all solutions comply with safety standards. Manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget. This 2nd shift position includes a shift differential and requires onsite attendance at the Pratt Whitney facility in Asheville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 3 years experience (for Advanced Degree)
- Extensive experience in developing and integrating Ignition SCADA systems
- Strong expertise in controls hardware engineering, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networking
- Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization
- Proficiency in programming languages used in automation and control systems (e.g., Python, Java, Ladder Logic)
- Strong project management skills with a track record of leading successful automation projects
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal, team and communication skills
- Ability to implement and optimize machine automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability
- Ability to manage project timelines of work performed, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
- This is a 2nd Shift Position (Evenings - weekdays)
